Excerpts from Nolan’s past concerts, shows, and general on-stage exploits.
This performance of “Martin’s Aria” from Aaron Copland’s The Tender Land was recorded as part of Nolan’s participation in Manitoba Opera’s Digital Emerging Artists Program. It was filmed at a housebarn in the Mennonite heritage village of Neubergthal by Golden Hour Creative Agency, and the audio was tracked at Paintbox Recording in Winnipeg. Nolan was joined in this very special performance by pianist Lisa Rumpel.
Nolan made his American debut in Boston with Emmanuel Music in January, 2023. This is a performance from a showcase concert from Bach’s BWV 114, featuring flautist Alisa Smith, cellist Tyla Axelrod, and organist Wesley Leffingwell.
When he isn’t singing, Nolan curates a weekly classical music column that airs across Canada on the weekends on CBC Radio One!

For this project, Nolan performed Mosca’s aria “When a Life Has Ceased” from John Musto’s opera Volpone. Nolan was joined on this performance by the fearless Lisa Rumpel on the piano, and it was recorded at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church in Winnipeg.
This clip was taken from Nolan’s performance with the Victoria Baroque Players at St. John the Divine Anglican Church in downtown Victoria as part of their concert Music for Passion Tide on March 28th, 2018. This recording features David Stratkauskas on the organ and Martin Bonham on the cello.
